The Moon - For Real and in Fiction
The George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film in Rochester, NY has a collection of early photographs on it web site, including a few of our favorite subjects. We particularly like this collection of 90 images of “The Moon - For Real & in Fiction.”
Athanasius Kircher’s namesake lunar crater can be found at 67.1 degrees south latitude, 314.7 degrees east longitude on the surface of the moon. It is 72.5 km in diameter.
