Philippe Petit, WTC Wire Walker
In 1974, 24-year-old funambulist Philippe Petit, a hero of the Athanasius Kircher Society, strung a wire between the roofs of the newly constructed world trade center towers and proceeded to walk back and forth for nearly an hour, a quarter of a mile in the sky with no safety harness. He published a book about his audacious achievement in 2002. We call this old news to your attention in order to direct you to a web site which includes several videos of Petit describing the planning and execution of this remarkable feat.
