Largest One-Man Construction Project
Following up on Visionary Architecture week, a member of the Athanasius Kircher Society calls our attention to the Bishop Castle, currently under construction in the Rocky Mountains of Southern Colorado. The castle is described as “The largest one-man construction project in the country, quite possibly the world!” It is the work of a man named Jim Bishop, whose dream is “to see how much one man can build in a single lifetime.” Construction began in June of 1969 and has continued ever since.
