The Age of the Marvelous
A public service announcement: Amazon has a single used copy of the The Age of the Marvelous available right now. It’s $250, sure, but we’re talking about a massive 485-page cinder block of a book. If you’re interested in wonder in the 17th century, there is no finer compilation of essays and images out there. This book is very hard to come by, and rarely comes on the market at this price. Abebooks and Alibris both have a single copy available — for $500 each.
A self-service announcement: Any time you buy anything at all from Amazon after clicking on one of our links (such as those to the left), the Kircher Society receives a small commission from Amazon.
UPDATE: Within an hour of posting the link, the book disappeared. Congratulations to the lucky purchaser.
