Museum of the Counterfeit

The Museum of the Counterfeit in Paris is devoted to manufactured objects and their knock-offs. Admire a real pair of Levis jeans and a counterfeit pair of Levis jeans, a real Bic razor and a pirated Bic razor, legit Barbies (with supple joints and velcro fastenings) and fake Barbies (which, a caption notes, “quickly go BALD”). See if you can tell the difference between Tabasco and Tabard. A lovely — and strangely profound – concept for a musem.
