Polar Bears of the British Isles

Bryndís Snæbjörnsdóttir and Mark Wilson set out to catalog and trace the provenance of every stuffed polar bear in the entire British Isles. The encyclopedic result of their search is the book Nanoq: Flat Out and Bluesome: a Cultural Life of Polar Bears and a new exhibit at the Horniman Museum. Their web site’s clickable map provides a guide to their findings.
