Alternate Alphabets
Language Week at the Kircher Society:
Who says there’s only one way to write in English? The wonderful site Omniglot catalogues eccentric alternatives to the Latin alphabet.
Our favorites:
Betamaze, which turns every text into a unique maze:

and Chromaphonoglyphics, in which vowels are colors, consonants are shapes, and multiple consonants can be “blended” to create up to 210 unique letters. Syllables within a word are stacked vertically. So, for example, here is Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:
“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.”
* The complete Tower of Babel story (Genesis 11:1-9) in Chromaphonoglyphics.
