An American Index of the Hidden and Unfamiliar

A new book we highly recommend: An American Index of the Hidden and Unfamiliar by the photographer Taryn Simon. Simon travels the country documenting the rare and unusual, including a cryogenic preservation unit in Michigan, a medical entomology lab in Florida, and an inbred tiger in Arkansas. Her work is currently on display at the Whitney Museum.
